Critters & Cabernet debuted at the 2018 Atlanta Science Festival
. This is the 21+ version of our popular children's program — Critter Camp.
C & C is a casual learning experience, with wine and reptiles ('what could go wrong?') in series format, so we focus on a specific topic or group of animals each session.
Each Critters and Cabernet session lasts for 2 hours, and includes lessons mixed with live animal demonstrations and handling (if desired). There is, of course, no obligation to hold animals if you do not wish. The sessions occur in our glorious Amphibious AF Meeting Room
, or in local wine shops in the Atlanta area, willing to host us.
Instructors are Amphibian Foundation Founders Mark & Crystal Mandica, with occasional guest lecturers.
Critters & Cabernet resumes this March (2019) at the Atlanta Science Festival and then will continue with monthly sessions at the Amphibian Foundation on the first Friday evening of each month (7 - 9 pm).
