Over 1,000 animals are housed at the Amphibian Foundation, which is composed of several isolated high-biosecurity labs for conservation priority species such as Frosted Flatwoods Salamanders and Striped Newts, the Amphibian Research and Conservation Center with 33 artificial and experimentally-controllable wetlands called mesocosms, and three Research and Education Laboratories (click here to see our labs and facilities).
- Amphibian Lab - houses many species of aquatic, temperate, fossorial, and neotropical species of amphibian for breeding, research, and educational and outreach programs
- Squamate Lab - houses lizards and snakes for education and outreach programs
- Special Collections - houses lizards, snakes, turtles and tortoises for educational and outreach programs
