We offer many biology and conservation programs for kids. Our first, is Critter Camp - a science-based summer and school-year camp with five locations — the Friends School of Atlanta, West Atlanta Watershed Alliance, Hemlock Farms (PA), and the Blue Heron Nature Preserve (Where the Amphibian Foundation is located). The fifth location is our online camp at Outschool! Campers explore concepts in biology, ecology and conservation using a safe, hands-on approach with reptiles and amphibians. Here are some of the highlights, but a lot more information, including registration details are available on the Critter Camp website (critter-camp.org)

Hands-on, Critter Camp

At Critter Camp, we understand that campers learn best when given a chance to explore the material on their own. Each day starts with 'Observation Time' where the campers can feed, water and observe the animals at their own pace, and keep a writing/drawing journal of their observations.

Campers Love Frogs!

At the Amphibian Foundation, where the animals used for Critter Camp reside, we have over 200 reptiles and amphibians - many of them are frogs. We teach the campers how to safely handle these delicate animals - for the animals' safety as well as the campers'.
