Amphibian Foundation Online Learning for Young Adults

Herpetology, the study of amphibians and reptiles, is a course generally only offered in college. Since our founding in 2016, AF has developed amphibian and reptile focused educational programs for all ages, including the Master Herpetologist Program, which is modeled after a college-level course. For young adults, we have programs for those interested in herpetology, and learning about the biology and natural history of these organisms, as well as the herpetoculture, or keeping and breeding these groups responsibly. Many of the online classes are offered for multiple times zones (EST, CST, PST / CET).

Critter Boot Camps (for Responsible Pet Keepers) - Three Week Online Series
Ages 10 and up

The Critter Boot Camp Series (for Responsible Pet Keepers) offers in-depth, species-specific classes designed for responsible pet owners. Each boot camp spans three weeks - one session per week - covering the species’ biology, proper husbandry (pet keeping) and conservation, so together, we can all become better stewards of amphibians and reptiles at home and outside! The Junior Master Herpetologist Program is offered as an 8 week virtual class, hosted by the Amphibian Foundation. It is based on our acclaimed Master Herpetologist Program (for adults) and adapted for a younger audience. The Junior Master Herpetologist Program is perfect for children and young adults interested in amphibians and reptiles, as well as those interested in exploring the field of herpetology. The material is similar to the Junior edition, though the context and discussions are advanced. $195

Ages 15-17
